The main emphasis was made on improving aerodynamics, using the experience gained during the creation of the concept car GAC Eno.146. The bumpers have been changed, with the "unnecessary" protruding decor. The hood is now lower, the door handles are retractable and the wheels are made more streamlined. The length of the sedan with the new trim has increased by 42 mm (up to 4810 mm).

Special features
The manufacturer did not ignore the suspension and finalized it. Now the suspension with reduced ground clearance allowed to reduce the overall height by 15 mm (up to 1515 mm). The result of all modifications was immediate: it is stated that already not bad drag coefficient Cd 0,245 was reduced to 0,211. It is not a record (for example, the sedan Mercedes EQS has 0,2 coefficient), but a very good indicator. The modifications have also touched the interior. Almost all functions (including climate control) are collected in the menu of the media system, which now has a freestanding screen of 14.6 inches and a system of updating "by air".

A new steering wheel and a rotating washer on the central tunnel instead of a joystick is now responsible for shifting the transmission modes. A panoramic roof with an area of 1.9 square meters is also included in the basic equipment. It has no sliding section, but the glass is electrochromic, and the passengers can change the degree of its transparency.
The richer versions have adaptive cruise control, and the top version has a second-level autopilot. The front-wheel-drive chassis with rear semi-independent suspension has not changed fundamentally. But if the pre-reform Aion S offered a single 58.8 kW∙h traction battery and two versions of the traction motor (136 or 184 hp), the updated sedan has a wider range of modifications.
