Founded in 2014, Nio produces high-tech premium electric cars that rival Tesla and the battery-powered models of the big three (Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz). During the December 24 event Nio Day 2022 Chinese company introduced two new crossovers, now Nio lineup includes eight models: mid-size sedan ET5, junior crossover ES6 and its coupe version EC6, crossover ES7 debuted last summer and its freshly presented coupe version EC7, large flagship sedan ET7 and large flagship crossover ES8 in two generations ("first" ES8 is still on sale).
